Girl's Nursery: Black, White & Jalapeno Green

Adorable hey? Green wall paint is Jalapeno Jelly from Valspar. The soft beige and black stripes are a striking accent against the green walls. Hearting the white bead board. The black scroll frame above the crib is from IKEA.

AJenkins designed this very over-the-top fun nursery for her little girl.

Gender-Neutral Baby Nurseries

Classic, neutral colors make this nursery a serene gender neutral nursery.  If you don't know the gender of your baby in planning a nursery, classic colors and details make it easier to decorate for the baby. The teddy bear accents are a great addition to the room. Very sweet Gender neutral nursery.  Similar rug here and similar chandelier here.

The Color Coral: Nurseries & Girl's Rooms

Stunning is a word I use to describe the color Coral. Coral pink is one of my favorite colors and pairs well with green another of my favorites. The complementary color of coral is teal. There are several versions of coral - pinkish-orange, coral red, etc. This image of a ceiling is more towards the pinks with the walls more of a coral. I've gathered some images of rooms/decor using the color Coral.

Images from here.

Jackie Godbold submitted this darling coral and teal room she created for her 6 year old. Jackie explains, "My 6 year old daughter needed a room update, and since we love the ocean and beach (and of course she LOVES Ariel, the Little Mermaid), we went with an "Under the Sea" theme.  We were actually inspired by a children's storybook for the walls and colors! There are bubbles and seaweed painted on the teal walls and moveable fish all around.  I took an old dresser and painted it coral and found this great mirror for a quarter at a yard sale to paint to match! Curtains were made by her grandmother and feature all types of fish in the room colors. Several "jellyfish" hand around the room for fun!"

Shabby Chic: Girly Baby Nurseries

Sentimental charm describes shabby chic to me and it is a such a wonderful way to decorate your little girl's nursery. Shabby chic typically starts with white vintage style furniture or soft pastel furniture. To create a soft feminine feeling, begin with delicate fabrics and add vintage pieces. Rose fabric is a natural choice for a shabby chic room. Fresh coat of white paint on the hutch can make drab into fab. I'm really loving the pink door! image © Bill Matthews

Could this pink dresser be any cuter?

Randi House sent me these darling images of here daughters shabby chic nursery. Randi says, "A dainty, shabby chic nursery designed around Tanya Whelan's ava rose fabric.  Shades of pale and medium pink and soft blue adorn the walls and bedding. My husband painted the contrasting stripes and added the chair rail as well as hung a chandelier and cornice board.  We had a local friend custom make her bedding."

A blessing dress or confirmation gown adds such a sweet touch to a baby nursery. Thanks Randi for sharing.
